California's Brokers of Expertise Project
Cross & Joftus consultants are helping the California Department of Education, along with key partners, create a cutting-edge web portal that will put high-quality, innovative standards—and research-based materials and resources—at the finger tips of the state's educators. This tool will enable teachers, principals, and, eventually, all education stakeholders to communicate, share, and network with their peers in other buildings and districts across the state and, later, across the nation. Our talented team is coordinating the project from the research and development phase through pilot implementation. This includes providing expertise and leadership in project management, fund raising, strategic planning, and curriculum development. It also includes facilitating and building relationships among multiple stakeholder groups and partners across the state. Research and development for Brokers of Expertise (BOE) began in October 2006. We are now in the pilot phase of the project, sharing standards and resources related to 4th-grade literacy and 8th-grade mathematics.
