Cross & Joftus Outlines the State of Education in Nevada
Christopher Cross, C&J Chairman, presented data on the state of education in Nevada to a salon meeting of Nevada Women’s Philanthropy on January 12th in Las Vegas. The presentation focused on the urgent need to improve educational outcomes for children in the state. After outlining the many education challenges facing Nevada including declining high school graduation rates, minimal access to rigorous curriculum for Latino and African American students, and a growing percentage of English Language Learners, Chris urged the audience to launch a public awareness campaign to force government leaders to take responsibility and be held accountable.
